I spoke with Sarah Stein of Miss Efficiency, a Xero bookkeeping firm with clients across Australia.

Sarah’s number one marketing tip is “ask for referrals and recommendations”. Initially hesitant, she’s now found success by asking clients directly for recommendations. Clients responded positively and posted reviews on Google. 

Sarah realised that despite her clients regularly expressing satisfaction, they didn’t always remember to leave recommendations.

She incorporated recommendation requests into her workflow using Karbon, scheduling templated emails to be sent with a link a week after completing work. This systematic approach has yielded great results for Miss Efficiency.
